I cannot speak for Hexadeci, but I'm fairly certain it was used as something of a piss-take. I don't remember the original song for the life of me though.

That would be based on your systems key repeat. You can change it to any speed you want for whatever level of glitch. You can even turn off the pause before repeating.

It seems he was busy making this instead of being productive/updating Radiograffiti/etc I thought there may be some interest in this.

From the description:

A useless proof-of-concept which took entirely way too much time to create. This is a very crude, monophonic drum machine idea using sounds taken from Hexadeci's http://www.radiograffiti.org/hexadeci original Amiga 1200 .mod files, which just saw a release on 7" vinyl. http://www.radiograffiti.org/hexadeci-a … -the-dark/ We're not completely sure but this may be the first You Tube "Drum Machine" in existence. If not, please send us a few links as we'd love to check them out.

Designed and created within 11 hours on Windows Movie Maker. Perhaps this concept can be improved upon next time by using legitimate, video editing software. Note: there is an added lag depending on video formats and playback resolution, so if you plan on wasting your time on something as ridiculous as this, be prepared to pull out your hair and kill some serious bandwidth.

Directions:

1. Load video in the 480p format. 360p should work too but there is a lag with 720 HD and don't even think about using 240p.

2. Expand the video. Embedded videos and full-screen will not work. (must be on the video's Youtube page)

3. Let the video load all the way through; play from the beginning.

4. Use the numeric keys to "trigger samples." See sample list next to "pads."

5. Buy the 7" vinyl D.I.Y. kit at http://www.radiograffiti.org/storefront

So yeah, I'm not sure what sort of caffeine consumption is needed to waste this much time on something so ridiculous. I gotta give it to him though, it's a fun way to promote the new release. Even though this will not work unless you're on the video page, here's the embedded video anyway:
