If you wanna give it a shot take it to a TV repairman but IF (and this is a big if) he finds the part to fix your monitor, it might be more expensive than what you paid for it. Also: something else will break again and you will have to repair it again. The tube is out of warranty and the flybacks on these things burn like shit and are hard to replace.

I can help you sort it out in October maybe

I have a shitty Syncmaster 3+ SVGA monitor, but it works. My A1200 is fitted with a Scanmagic scandoubler. I will try to get an Indivision ECS for my A600 or maybe I'll just go for one of the cheapy ones that cost 70 dollars.

This board seems to work but I am not 100% sure about the pixel detail, if it doesn't support the Amiga native modes, it will look wonky.

An easy and accessible option is a modern LCD/LED TV. Most of them accept 15Khz through the VGA port. Then you just need the 23-pin Amiga video to 15-pin VGA converter that came with A1200s.

It is not the fault of the pot you snapped. VHold has nothing to do with this.
It worked for whatever period then something snapped and gave you that shit. Something broke inside hence the line of crap. All these monitors are WAY past their expiration date, the monitor warranty on these was good until some time in the early 200s, but any of these still working today are special. If the monitor was used regularly, it is only obvious that it stops working now.

Get a scandoubler to connect the Amiga to any monitor. Some guy is making an Amiga RGB to Component box too, you might want to get that if you have a modern TV at home.

The WinUAE emulator is still a great tool if you have an Amiga. I make all my configuration there and then I just provide the Amiga with the properly configured disk. It's much easier. When I can't access my Amiga I can use WinUAE to continue work. But I wouldn't prefer it to an AMiga, specially if I already have one at home and with them being so easy to source.
