It should be possible.</p><p>I contemplated making custom circuit boards to use as an adapter, because soldering to the ribbon cable or the socket isn&#039;t easy. Really only possible by bending the pins in opposite directions.</p><p>I&#039;d like to try it again. Anyone got a backlit SP with a (semi) broken LCD to spare?</p>]]></content>

A friend of mine had one modded for him several years ago - when the GBA was still Nintendo&#039;s current console and the Afterburner company was quite new - and certainly from the brief time I&#039;ve spent with his console, it looks like a backlight</p><p>Certainly an extremely good frontlight anyway! Nice and even and bright.</p>]]></content>

AGS-101 will not work as it is a backlight.</p><p>This is a time consuming mod and can be expensive as you need to cannibalize an Advance SP.</p>]]></content>
