munchluxe63: Could you tell me
1) which CPU board revision that GB using (remove the battery cover and peek into the hole where the battery latch goes. It should say DMG-CPU-0x where x is the revision.)
2) Which type of cartridge you're using.
3) which type of phone that is. (Brand as well as whether it's just GSM, 3G etc.)

One thing I'd like you to try is to try this with an original game cartridge. Or even without a cartridge. In this case, you would need to time the text/call so that it happens while the black line (missing logo) is still moving across the screen.

Okay, I just reproduced it by playing a random song I made on LSDJ with my headphones plugged in and sent a text to a friend of mine with the phone near the DMG (I put it right beside the DMG for good measure). It hanged at the same time the phone sent the text, but it crashed with an error message this time (I don't remember if there was an error message before or not; I didn't think much of it at the times that it happened).

If I could find my camera I'd take a picture of the error screen that popped up this time. Maybe I'll take a video in the morning if I can get up on time. I might even take a video of the whole thing and upload it.

DONT PANIC!

PLEASE MAIL THIS
DATA TO INFO AT
LITTLSOUNDDJ.COM

ROM: 02 V4.6.3
000A STK:OFF4
0000
6C8D
0029 PLY:4
284F CVW:4
0000
0000
0000
0000 SYN:0
0000

EDIT: Reproduced on video; I remembered my laptop had a crappy webcam.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LQq5GrLi_M

No error message this time.

It's hardly likely that your DMG crashes with cellphone interference, but there's a way to find out if it does.

You could try to reproduce the error, and better yet, document it through video. If you can accurately crash your Gameboy at will using a cellphone, then you'll have proven your case.

And you'll also most likely get a bunch of nerds on the Internet interested.

Oh, and the buzzes happen to everyone. Props to Captain Ahab to actually use them for musical purposes. (Translation: Bunch of fuckers beat me to it. >:( )

The crashes are probably a coincidence.

You forgot the rest of the sentence: "This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation."
What this actually means is that you have no right to take legal action against someone operating a licensed transmitter (like a cellphone) that creates interference with that device. It does not imply that the device must work under all conditions. Basically, if a licensed transmitter crashes your device, joke's on you.
