			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I&#039;m sure I haven&#039;t articulated my problems or how I solved them very well but I suppose now it doesn&#039;t matter.&nbsp; It all works, I can backup my saves and import and export lsdsng files to and from my GB and PC.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>Sorry to be off topic but I wanted to say as a final note:</p><p>All too often I&#039;ve been to a forum with a problem and there are always individuals who jump in only to tell me that I&#039;ve asked a stupid question to a problem I should be able to figure out on my own and then leave no help in solving said problem.&nbsp; But you guys gave me constructive advice, and that&#039;s a nice change of pace.</p><p>Anyway I&#039;m off to make some jams on my Gameboy. <img src="https://chipmusic.org/forums/img/smilies/smile.png" width="15" height="15" alt="smile" /></p>]]></content>

Again I want to thank everyone for the help.&nbsp; Sometimes it&#039;s good to leave and come back to a problem after you&#039;ve had some time to refresh.&nbsp; I figured out my problem, I was extracting the files, thinking that was what I needed to run the program.&nbsp; But I see now that I just use Java to open the zip file and it runs fine.</p>]]></content>

To the issue at hand, I actually have both versions of the latest java installed and I even uninstalled, downloaded the latest versions online and installed them but still nothing.&nbsp; </p><p>I&#039;ve tried looking up online for the problem but I&#039;ve been unsuccessful at finding any relevant information on the matter.</p><p>Is there any other way to get the lsdsng files from the .gb file?</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>it&#039;s more than likely your version of Java, then. that&#039;s pretty unstable in 64-bit OSes as well. ORACLE says you&#039;re supposed to install both 32- and 64-bit versions of the Java software for most programs to work, so I suggest trying that.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>if the program was able to read the card, then the drivers are working fine, but the device only appears to be connecting momentarily. this could be a physical hardware issue. bad tech support suggestion #2-- try using a different USB port on your computer or a different USB cable, if you haven&#039;t already.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Yeah it&#039;s weird... the computer knows what&#039;s installed now, and the program lists LSDJ-v4.5.4 four times under the Card Information screen, but at the bottom of the program it says device disconnected and I can&#039;t do anything.&nbsp; </p><p>Thanks for the help, at least the computer recognizes the device.&nbsp; I&#039;ll try reinstalling the drivers and if that fails then I suppose I&#039;ll wait for Kitsch.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>what do you mean? the device manager recognizes that the cart is working but the actual program doesn&#039;t acknowledge that? if that&#039;s the case, then something went wrong with the actual driver installation. i&#039;m not exactly sure where one might go wrong there (you can fuck up in a LOT of places). i know i&#039;m really starting to sound like a bad tech support here, but just try reinstalling the driver using the instructions given in the driver installation manual.</p><p>or just wait until kitsch gets here, he could probably figure out what&#039;s up with the drivers better than i can</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>hmmm... i&#039;m also running w7 in test mode, and after using the application to sign the driver before installation it seemed to work fine. but the way you just described it makes it seem like a computer-based hardware issue, if any. so here&#039;s what i want you to do:</p><p>&gt;Press Start<br />&gt;Select the Control Panel from the right side of the Start Menu<br />&gt;At the top of the window, set the view to Large Icons if you haven&#039;t already<br />&gt;Select Device Manager<br />&gt;Plug in the device</p><p>tell me what happens.</p>]]></content>
