			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<div class="quotebox"><cite>Bit wish wrote:</cite><blockquote><p>wait... theres a difference between usb and ems carts? mine has a usb plug in on it but i alwasys thought it was ems? difference?</p></blockquote></div><p>EMS is a brand name (The company is HKEMS), and USB is a connectivity method/interface to flash the ROM and SRAM of the carts.</p><p>EMS is currently making the most readily available flash cart, the GB USB 64M, which has a USB interface (via COM port emulation, which has its own issues).</p><p>There have been other USB carts, such as the BleepBloop USB, and the still in-development Drag &#039;N Derp cart.</p><p>Most of these are not currently in production for one reason or another. I&#039;m not entirely solid myself on the BleepBloop story.</p><p>So, it&#039;s an easy mistake to make, as the only readily available cart these days is a USB cart produced by EMS.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>can you do a real quick check on something about the cart?</p><p>on the back of the plastic, towards the bottom of the case, you should see a # code melted/stamped into the plastic.&nbsp; </p><p>what is the code?&nbsp; this will date the assembly of the cartridge, some assemblies had some issues but they were a while ago.&nbsp; just want to check.</p><p>if the date code is old enough, the PCB revision could even be a later one.&nbsp; if you get a code that is dated for 2012 (it&#039;ll have a 12 in the code), and if you want to open up your cartridge case, look on the top right of the PCB.&nbsp; you&#039;ll see a PCB revision mark there.</p><p>the latest revision should be 11.&nbsp; i&#039;ve not had a bad cart in a batch yet from PCB revision 11.&nbsp; could be coincidence though.</p>]]></content>
