Just spitballin a few ideas here:
Try connecting to separate 5volt source
Make sure the ltc is connected to legs 2&3 of the potentiometer
Connect both to the same clock point?/ Connect the clock out of the easy to the ltc then to the clock?

Are you trying to run them simultaneously?
This would probably cause the screen to go blank because its trying to interpret 2 different clock signals.
Does the ltc work when the easy clock is at normal speed?

Ok so this is how I have them wired up.
The Easy Clock works fine. Wired it up exactly as Kitsch's directions.
Put the output of LTC to bottom of original clock and GRD to the battery terminal on right (looking at it opened up) and 5V to the same Volt source that the Easy Clock is hooked into.
Put a SPDT 2 position switch to the LTC as you can see in my lovely diagram.
When I flip the switch for the LTC to turn it on the screen goes blank. Turn it off it comes back.

Just realized I didn't label them but you probably can figure it out.
The smaller box is the Easy Clock.
The larger one on bottom is the LTC
The two dots at top labeled clock is the original system clock.

Any Ideas what to do?

nothing. they can both interface fine. hook up the easy CLK per instructions, then just connect the out line of the ltc module to the upper pin of where the crystal sued to be. then install a switch to turn the module on and off. you would be able to activate the variable pitch at any time, whether in standard or half clock.

could be wrong, but im pretty sure I understand how the easy_CLK works.
