Thanks, and how the connection goes using a 74hc04 with a DPDT, What cable from the IC connects to the DPDT switch in which order?

I want to get information on how to add a toggle switch to hex 74hc04 IC in order to switch from Normal display to Inverted display.

Basically, I want to know If I could use a SPST switch to do that, and if not, I would like to understand why.

Also, if you guys could help me giving me an idea how the connection goes, If I already have the IC installed in the motherboard, what do I do next to add the switch?, what cables to I cut and solder to the switch?
