On top of everything, this has got to be one of the laziest instances of sampling I've ever seen. We've all seen some straight up rips before, but this is like 99% the original track.

i hate hate HATE this on a pure quality level. to take the BUILDUP of the original song and jam it in the verse, to have the clear as day vocal saying "ARCANINE" in the background while someone is rapping about something completely different on top, to literally just add some 808 "bump" and snares and hats, ugh, WHAT A JOKE.

But the rapping is abysmal, in and of itself, and deserves to be ridiculed in its own rite.

Hmm, I have a question. As far as I remember, there are multiple compilations with 8bc/8bitcollective in the name around. How is that handled legally? As I understand it, most predate the registration of 8bitcollective as a trademark, so if I contributed to/curated one that should be no problem since you can't extend copyright claims to the past. However, I guess continued distribution would be a problem?

Had I had the comp on my own site I would agree and ignore, but I just changed the name as I didnt want the FMA to get into any hassle because of some internet guy with a rich lawyer dad.
