I'm having trouble following the traces but it looks like that R1 is for the LED.

I just grabbed a value out of my ass. Experiment and find a value that works well for your LED. 10k is probably too big for the purpose.

Are you replacing R1 (1k) near the top edge of the board above the LED? I put some water clears in and they are blinding.
