Possibly of limited interest, but niche interests is kinda our thing in the chiptune community, eh? Yesterday a paper I've been working on was published in an academic journal (?!). The paper is called "Enmediating a platform, enabling fandom: Accessible creation tools and new methods of production for the Game Boy", and yes it's entirely as geeky as it sounds. It touches on a few areas of Game Boy creation, current game development using tools like GB Studio, and photography, but the heart of the paper is about chiptune and community.

I know there's a fair amount of chip vinyl out there but im curious to see peoples collections or link to rare releases and such. Also wondering what the general interest is for chip vinyl. I have a small but growing collection myself.

Hi.
I have a lot of chiptune compilation videos on my youtube channel. Each such video contains one or more chiptune tracks. But the standard youtube page is just not very convenient imo.
So I created a simple web page, which is basically just a simple wrapper around the official embedded youtube player. I don't collect any data, it's all on the client side (except youtube itself, of course).
Advantages over the standard YouTube page:
1. Each chiptune track compilation can be played in random order
2. You can play all tracks of all videos on one page
3. You can disable tracks you don't like
In the future, I plan to add all my new chiptune video compilations to this page.
The UI is rather primitive, but should be good enough.
Please take a look and give me some feedback if it's not too much trouble.
Works best in chrome-based browsers.

What do you guys think about the new Pharrell Lego movie? I know most of you guys are producers. What do you guys think about it? I enjoyed it. It’s a little pretentious, but ya know… it’s still pretty good.

I was saddened to hear about nonfinite (Anthony's) passing. Like many of us, I got my first backlight kit from them in ~2009. One time I bought a domain name to rickroll them. I was able to meet and see them perform at Little Sound Assembly 2017 (absolutely check out the compo) and they were such a genuine, friendly, and kind person.

Post any positive memories you have of nonfinite!
