Jansaw says:
I thought this would be worth sharing here.

Les Musées de la civilisation à Québec, Canada have an entire exhibit dedicated to the history of digital video games, ranging from the 70s to present. The "specimens" are from the archives of the MO5 association (link at bottom).

Lots of you might find it interesting that your digital childhood is now museum worthy? It was an amazing exhibit that had 50+ interactive gaming stations that let you play games on original consoles from pong to assassin's creed, and video game aesthetic-related displays. Some of the consoles included are Amiga, Neo-Geo, Atari ST, C64, Amstrad CPC, Master System, Megadrive, Thomson MO5, Sony MSX 2, PC-Engine, NES, PC, PSX(1), Sega Saturn, SNES, and ZX Spectrum. It was packed with the young and old, and it was great to see a young kid playing mario bros beside a really old guy playing assassin's creed.

Here's a 1.3gb zip file containing about 200 pictures I took from my trip there, if you feel so inclined:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4LPIk_ … sp=sharing

http://MO5.com/ (en francais)
MO5 is an association dedicated to the preservation and dissemination to the public of digital heritage.
http://www.mcq.org/en/mcq/expositions.php?idEx=w3760
Museum's website.
