HEY HEY HEY so I wrote this new piece for flute, drumset/vibraphone and LSDJ called Echoloquatious and it's being debuted this Friday night in SF at the Center for New Music... I know it's expensive but it would be so rad to see the chipmusic crowd come represent!

Join the A/B Duo for Happy Hour with genre-bending, face-melting, happy-making music and drinks at the Center for New Music.

The bi-coastal A/B Duo (flutist Meerenai Shim from the SF Bay and percussionist Chris Jones from Rochester, NY) will premiere new works commissioned from Ivan Trevino and Matthew Joseph Payne in a cabaret-style setting. Enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks while you listen to the new and surprising works.

The program will include: "Echoloquacious" for flute, percussion and Gameboy (LSDJ) by Bay Area chiptune artist and composer Matthew Joseph Payne and "Things We Dream About" by Ivan Trevino, rock-drummer, composer and member of the cello rock band Break of Reality. Both pieces were written especially for A/B Duo in 2013. In addition, we will perform "metalstaind" for piccolo and percussion by Adam Cuthbert.

Come to the Happy Hour, listen to A/B Duo premiere the music, discuss the compositions with the artists and your friends and hang out at the Center for New Music.
