Fudgers says:
Well, I've been trying for a while now to get mine to work. I have it built, and the light flashes 3 times and stays lit on startup. I'm running OSX with ableton sending midi to hairless>serial via the built in IAC. The hairless debug shows up as receiving the correct midi messages (ranging from 40-60 with varying velocities). I have my ftdi serial set to 38400 in hairless preferences.

I've gotten to this point, but all I'm getting is a brief quiet click anytime a midi message is sent (note on, note off, cc, pitchbend, etc) I'm also getting a quiet noise whenever I change an I/O setting in hairless with the synth connected. Additionally, I get a short quiet blip when change the channel setting in ableton (a message which hairless interprets as a single pitchbend point).

I'm using the YM flavor chip with a sparkfun 5v usb to ftdi cable and installed the drivers from this site (http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm)

Any help would be very appreciated!!

Fudgers says:
Hey everybody,

I'm having some issues with my YM_MINI synth, so I thought I'd see if there's anybody on here who knows a bit more about it than me. There used to be a forum specifically for troubleshooting it, but it looks like it's been taken down

If anybody can help me out, please let me know, thanks!

http://wiki.straytechnologies.com/doku.php/ym_mini
