I did actually try that her_prof. Thats how i ended up where i am at.
I checked my setup and can get midi sent via ableton easily to mssiah. when just using live view and drawing envelopes in clips. Will try making change objects. gonna have to do some reading about it.
I havent tried midi monitor to check my shizz. Will give this all a try!!

Anohter thing you probably want to do is add a change object so that you don't flood the c64 with the same values over and over from sequencing the knobs (ie: 1,1,1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,3,3,3,3,3,3,3 to 1,2,3)

After throwing it in a midi channel and routing that to the right channel I am still getting no results. what am i doning wrong. The top bar is indicating that midi is being transimited but mssiah isnt doing shiiiit.
