Vaina Moinen says:
The Aly James FMDRIVE VST is fantastic. Can't yet comment on his PSG VST yet, but I expect that to arrive soon too. They're both generously priced, 10 euros each, which was about 14 US dollars when I got them. Get both and you have the full Mega Drive sound set up, not to mention the ability to go way beyond the original specs.

Deflemask is a great little multi-chip tracker too, and it's free. I never got into using it, but just listening to the demos of the various chips in action should be convincing enough to know it's really accurate. I kind of want to try it out again someday, mostly for it's SID and PC Engine emulations.

SgtCrispy says:
Considering the state of the software, you're better off using DefleMask at this point. Not knocking vgmmm, but it hasn't been updated in quite awhile and probably won't be in the foreseeable future.
http://www.delek.com.ar/deflemask

EDIT: Or if you want to go really crazy, I hear Monsieur Aly James has some kick'n vst's.
http://www.alyjameslab.com/index.html

SBthree says:
I know I am a little late to the game with VGM Music Maker, but does anyone where I can download it? It seems to have been taken down from Shiru's site.

And if it is truly not online anywhere, could someone possibly upload it somehow for me/the world to download?

Or what are the best alternatives to VGM Music Maker, with the priority of being able to run the song files on actual genesis hardware?

Thanks for the help.
