So, I would post a picture but I really don't think you will be able to see much... all the leds make it a big mess of wires. However I have double checked my connections and I believe they are correct. I could draw a picture of how I put it together exactly, though it won't be very pretty if you guys think that will help.

The only change I made to the code was when I opened up the the file titled "Arduinoboy1_2_3_teensy.ino" I dragged all of the other files into the same sketch folder and added "#include <insert other files here>"

i may not be able to help, but i have built a couple midi devices run off of teensy in the past so idk....

is it possible to send midi out from your gameboy to ableton? i'd also suggest checking that and letting us know what's up

So I put together my Teensyboy recently and Im not sure if I have made a mistake or just don't know how to use it or what. I followed the schematics pretty closely and right now when I turn it on and plug it into my gameboy and computer 5 of the 7 leds light up and flash a bit. Pressing the pushbutton does disconnect the circuit and seems to switch modes but its difficult to tell. the LEDs definitely don't stay on to indicate the mode. Also after a while of it being plugged in the pushbutton doesn't seem to have any effect at all. My ableton does recognize the teensy as a midi device but when I put lsdj in slave mode (I also attempted in midi mode just in case) and send it a C2 note nothing seems to happen. I might have been getting ahead of myself by trying to use it to sync when I can't really tell which mode its in but I figured if I restarted it and pressed the push button 1-7 times it would have to work eventually but it did not. Another thing that might be worth noting is that I used a DMG-07 however I followed the color coding for them listed here:

Does anybody have any ideas what I might be doing wrong? It seems like it's so close to working.
