That means: chiptunes with 1-bit sound-quality.
***Recorded from real hardware*** - American/Portuguese model of ZX Spectrum 48K:
Timex Computer 2048 (48K of RAM).

Tracklist:
01. Through the heavy fire
02. Neutrinos Raid
03. Chromospheric Flares
04. Dragon Hammer
05. Sparkling icicles
06. Stone circle of devil
07. 1-bit burst
08. Screech from a burrow
09. Kick the Drums Part 2
10. Voyage through Time
11. Battlefield Insanity
12. United and Victorious

Total Time - 36:17 min.

***********GENERAL BLAH*************
Hi. This is my the 5th album, released after 2 years break.
As usual, it has been entirely made for ZX Spectrum 48K (all recorded from real hadrware).
I used many various beeper engines, with various sounding, possibilities etc.

Engines used:
- OCTODE (9 channels)
- QCHAN (5 channels)
- SAVAGE (3 channels, engine corrected by Introspec)
- PHASER 1 (3 channels)
- Huby (2 channels)
- Music Box (well, 2 channels supposedly but when any drum plays - nothing more can play, so I call it "a 1,5-channel engine". Corrected by Ccowley/The Number Nine).

As a music instrument, Spectrum48 has limitless abilities, and every engine sounds different, which is unparalleled in comparison to other 8-bit computers.
That's because all the music is actually generated by Spectrum's CPU - Z80 chip - that produces all sounds and sends them into beeper and audio-out connector of ZX Spectrum (jack) through 1-bit transducer - ULA chip.
Sometimes it sounds better, sometimes - worse. But still we have a nice variety of styles.

If you are interested in more 1-bit music from ZX Spectrum 48K, then visit these sites:
http://mister_beep.republika.pl/
http://1bit.i-demo.pl/ (Forum)
http://z80.i-demo.pl/
http://shiru.untergrund.net/1bit/

Thanks for all the help to coding-guys:
Irrlicht Project (Utz), Ccowley (The Number Nine), Shiru, Introspec, XXL and Alone Coder.
Also - greetings to all mates from http://1bit.i-demo.pl/ BEEPER Forum and to all 1-bit music fans and musicians in general.
Special greetings to Quantum Sheep.

Enjoy.
MISTER BEEP
*******************************************

_________________________TRADITIONAL TECHNICAL BLAH_________________________
Normally Spectrum48 has only one channel of square-wave 1-bit sound (no volume control at all).
But Z80 is also ZX SPECTRUM's Central Processing Unit (CPU) so due to its 3,5Mhz activity (software mixing) Spectrum 48Kb has finally:

- from 2 to 9 channels,
- various modulations and envelopes,
- drums & noises,
- digital sound,
- speech synthesis,
- volumes (it's impossible to make various volumes in 1-bit sound actually so even this is impressive)

etc... Still only 1 bit quality of course. We could say that everything mentioned above is theroretically impossible to make on this computer. But... it still works!

Z80 chip produces all sounds and sends them into BEEPER and AUDIO-OUT connector of ZX SPECTRUM (jack) through ULA chip - the 1-bit transducer.
_______________________________________________________________________________
