I'm still waiting on the newer quote (looks like the first one they mistakenly quoted for a vinyl sticker O_o ) So I'll let you know. It looks like most places require at least 50 at a time. The Quote for the vinyl full color stickers (with the silver) was $226 for 50 of them, including shipping. Which isnt bad at $5 a sticker, but I'm not going to pay that much for a sheet of colored sticky paper  

That said that quote is bogus because of the vinyl. So I'll give you real numbers once I get the update. It may actually be within my range once they get rid of the vinyl.

Though you guys are right. if it were Sweden it wouldn't have that logo.  Drat, because it took me forever to find that old style of their ratings logo. I had to scan one of my old N64 carts that had the same version on it.  (I'm dedicated XD)

Also I have some likely bad news. The Quote came back from the printing place, and while they can do it, it will cost a LOT for the minimum number. While I could still sell them for cheap, the upfront cost due to the minimum order means I'd probably never sell enough to make my money back. Not to mention It's not cleared with Johan yet.

I'll be uploading my PSD files today should anyone want to use them. I also have a vector version of the "Nintendo GAME BOY TM" screenprint from the front of the DMG case, because when I get my case painted I want to keep that. (A, B, START, and SELECT will come later, anyone know what Fonts those are?)

Anywho look for the PSD in the OP later today, hopefully you guys can get some printed for yourselves. I'll leave the E rating logo in there, you can turn it off if you want.   BTW I switched it back to DMG-LSDJ-USA since this would be the NTSC USA version of the cartridge, though still "MADE IN SWEDEN" I think that seems most correct (At least for me, being in USA) Of course it's editable so feel free to tweak it to your heart's content!   

I'm still gonna get some printed, for myself, without the silver. Likely from StickerMule or PSPrints. I'll post pics when I get it in.

Yeah, ESRB wasn't established till like '93/'94 but they were still making gameboy games after that so I'm sure some of them did have it.
I think the graphic might look better without the ESRB rating but it's a nice touch.

Hey WACOM, once you get a quote I would love to know the kind of numbers you are looking at, and the min print run that company expects.

The E sign is not even from the gameboy era as far I can tell.

if you're suggesting that, then maybe get rid of the "E" sign seeing as euro games don't have their ratings on the cart. Well, none of the ones I've come across have.

I went ahead and changed it to DMG-LSDJ-SWE and MADE IN SWEDEN

Good news! I found a company that can do them (I think) I'm getting a quote from them, but it looks promising since they had the proper ink listed on their quote page. For reference, the ink appears to be PMS 877c or PMS877 or Pantone 877c.  The process will be two stage. Lay the silver, then screenprint the full color and text on top. Then gloss is added. The final demensions wind up being 42mm x 37mm with a 1/32" bevel (about 0.8mm) on the corners.  I included a 5mm bleed edge on each side, bringing the total to 52mm x 37m counting bleed.

The company I found is called jakprints.com. I have no idea what this will cost yet, so here's hoping its at a price that I can afford   I don't want to sell these for too crazy expensive,  I have the Print-ready graphics ready and will upload them here as soon as I get confirmation that they are good.

OK, I contacted PSPrint and Stickermule.  Both said they could match the size exactly, but Neither can do the silvering. PSPrint has a minimum order of 250, Stickermule has a minimum of 50. So for the first run Id choose Stickermule, but I'm still looking for a place able to do the silver pantone.

EDIT: from more searching, it appears the ink used on the edges was likely pantone 877c ink. But I'll be amazed if I can find any place that can do it.

Let me know please if this gets anywhere!  The main thing I think will be a challenge is the slight silvering of the left and right borders, and getting the bevel right. I think the printing on the originals was done in two steps, first the silver layer for the borders, and the "Official Game Boy Game Pak" logo, then the actual graphics were screen-printed on top of that base. I think there may also then be a very thin semi-gloss film on top of everything...  It should be possible to replicate, but it definitely would require some control and planning.

The die looks perfect! Nice label I cant tell if the label has the silvering on the left and right borders. Can they do that? Id be willing to pay for a small run for resell to all you fine folks.

Now that they have the die I wonder if they could do reasonable custom orders..?

The Glowing Stars' USB flash cart had stickers printed by PSPrint which turned out great.

We paid to have them make a custom die in the exact size of an original cartridge label, but we were doing a bulk order so it was worth it.
