Yea ive have a mixer with gain post and pre pots as well on the aux in, but that isn't the case on everything. For most people youll probably need to send it to a regular mixer channel.

That is assuming we ever see any software that actually uses it.

Could this info be moved or mirrored to the kk_gb_8m thread since it would be good to know this in the future? And gosh, has any retailer actually received and shipped out their krikzz carts yet? I wanna see a video review before I take the plunge.

@herrprof - my Numark X6 works fine with unamped signals, amped signals, and line level stuff on its aux in.

the way the extra channel on this cart is, coming straight off the pin, is not line level

however, with the way the cart is set up, the plan is to have adapter amp boards made as well  or, people can take a peek at the header on the board pic, its standard spacing, and make all sort of adapter boards.  all the signals you'd need are on this header

sometimes it is line level, but only if you send in a line level . Generally I think it is for pre amplified signals

Aux ins are seldom amped though.. Its not a line level signal right?

For those of you who rock 2xLSDJ setups and/or use DJ mixers, the AUX in channel featured on some mixers would be EXCELLENT for this.

yep.  it was done with the audio input pin (Vin in pandocs) on the edge connector in mind, so is mono you'll notice too.  however, the way the cart is designed it could be routed wherever you'd like really, not just through the console.  would need amped

Damn, this does not have support for the expansion audio abilities of the Game Boy.  The FPGA could emulate some of the duplicate code for 2a03 expansion chips and others; such as SID, TIA with DPC, Ensoniq DOC, etc.  The Game Boy, with the right memory mappings, could power as many as the FPGA could hold in memory; and possibly in duplicates.  Not sure if audio out is necessary on the cart or not.

Curious, what will the cartridge case situation be?

not sure when the package will arrive, that's the delay!  stock is taken care of, just not here yet
