I present you Tasos Stamou - 2 chants & a pixel dance

Tasos Stamou is a free improvisor and producer of electroacoustic music, mostly known for utilizing modified toys and handheld materials on his shows.

The specific project is the result of Tasos’ recent interest about Gameboy music, sound synthesis and circuit bending. ‘2 Chants and a pixel-dance’ is, as described from the title, two long-emerging drones interrupted by a shorter rhythmic live-composition.

Circuit bent Gameboys and a mini-kaosspad were used as hardware instruments utilizing software such as nanovoice, shitwave and other freeware from ‘Pixelh8’ and ‘8CYLINDER’.
