It does say it was made on a Game Boy on his page, and they he started making music on it in 2008.  It certainly sounds like Nanoloop.

I just downloaded this pretty sweet compilation of music celebrating the growth of electronic music in China and the first track sounds distinctly like it was  made on a DMG. Most likely nanoloop, but possibly LSDJ.Pretty cool stuff. Here's a link to the website:
