JaffaCakeMexica says:
I highly recommend Sunvox and G-stomper (The VA-beast synth-sequencer is very nice now).

Sunvox sequencer and sound design possibilities are DEEP and meaningful.

If you are using LSDJ in an emulator to export .wavs, you will not be able to sample what you have made for use in another program because it does not feature true BPM (only framerate based speed).

I understand some people love LSDJ because of the gamepad based controls and the comfort that offers. In that case PPSSPP emulator will run LittleGameParkTracker (LGPT, not to be confused with "LGBT" -sigh-) on android. That way you will have true BPM patterns you can sample into other programs (Sunvox for example).

gotoandplay says:
I've recently been using gbc.emu on a tab and have to say its pretty usable, all things considering. Perhaps there's a way of converting savestates. For now though ill just get audio exports rather than lsdsngs.

It looks like the sav q has been raised also on a gambatte github as well: https://github.com/libretro/gambatte-libretro/issues/41

garvalf says:
I think John GBC is working well, the sound is good. I can't believe all those 0% accuracy on the other test, I think it's bullshit. I'll give retroarch a test anyway (I prefer free and open source software, even if it's quite big in size).

Using the touchscreen is rather ok. On John GBC you can configure the layout and screen so you can increase the button size.

You can also search for "gamepad bluetooth" on ebay, there are cheap and tiny ones like this: http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Bluetooth-Contro … 4636433359
I don't think it's really useful for lsdj, but for gameboy games it's much much better!

The real machine is "better" and more authentic, but using lsdj on smartphone is super great too: you get backlight, it's lighter, smaller and you always have it with you. And there is no extra noise and "huuum" when you're working on it.

note: I've tested retroarch, but I couldn't load my lsdj .sav file so it's not usable for me. And the layout is not very convenient.
