The potentiometer is probably dirty or damaged. I usually do pre-pot too. You're mostly going to mix i externally anyway. Also, make sure you don't listen to the prosound with headphones. Because the headphones are low impedance, any small difference in the 10k (or something) pot will become more noticeable than they would if connecting to a mixer/soundcard.

till now i connected to post pot connections , but now i deicided to solder them to [pre]
couse pot, if  I turn it to max  lv my dmg 1 one chanel in the max position is hardly hearable ..
i wonder  is that small amount of resistance coused by pot affect eny sound quality or filtraton ?
