NES, SNES, and Genesis all have optional RCA outs. you can use the same RCA out on the N64 with the SNES (or just buy another one), the NES has RCA outputs on it already, and the genesis has an out you can buy that uses RCA.

unless there's something i'm missing (don't know nothing about the jaguar) you don't really need a coax input switcher thing. it would probably just be easier to get a RCA switcher and get the accessories for those systems.

Switchers are a must, I got one for my brother as he has 4 consoles he uses regularly. It will save a lot of wear & tear on your cables.

if you can get an RF modulator, then it would be really not that hard to build a selector switch to choose, or if you are smart, some kind of auto sensing switch?

i wish it was that easy.
i could do that with the sega, and snes, but the nes, jag, and 2600 rca's dont seem to work.

all you need to know is a backwards splitter acts like a combiner.  then get notch filters to remove the channels that you will be inserting into.

we use these at work.  i have one on my lap right now.

Maybe try looking at a/v recievers like come with low end surround sound systems.  They usually have a butt load of inputs and might be a cheapish option.

EDIT:  Now that I look at your picture... there's RCA options available on all of those!  Why not go that way?  And then use any common "game system switcher".

you can get fancier modulators but they're more for doing channel inserts and stuff which while cool isn't what you need.

i could probably scare up a couple coax a/b switches from work if you want to use them.  three switches would let you choose between 4 devices

so have a quite a collection of retro consoles

all of which are used/played on a regular basis.

i have been using this old CRT tv for some time now.
it has done the job, but the screen was going bad.
(wobbles, odd colors, lack of any picture at times, etc)

so, a really awesome friend of mine bought them self a
new tv, and GAVE me their old flatscreen hd-tv.
(it's good to have friends ;D)

anyway, the point of all this...
the new tv is awesome, aside from the fact that it has
NO COAX CABLE INPUT! the tv only has inputs for:
HDMI, S-VIDEO, RGB (monitor cable), and standard RCA a/v
(red, white, yellow). but the VAST MAJORITY of my consoles
use the coaxial cable wire.

so i need one of the following solutions:

[1] an out of the box solution: that takes a least 1 coax input
and outputs to one of the cables my tv uses.

[2] a DIY solution: any design schematics or tutorials for building
something like this on my own.

[3] a pay DIY solution: i give you money, you build me one ;D

i'd really like a device with multiple coax inputs, since daisy
chaining all these consoles have an advers effect on the
display further down the chain, but i have to have a least one.

im up for any help you guys have to offer.
