Nobody is playing chipmusic live afaik (though Heavy Stylus and Hoffman (aka Hydlide aka Dreamfish) are doing livesets).  However there are competitions for both oldschool music (for MOD-style formats) and synth music for NES, Gameboy, AHX etc.   There are also oldschool graphics, ascii and demo competitions.   Entries can be submitted remotely and I'm sure will be *very* welcome.
