I actually found a way to do this without modifying the case. I took pictures when I tried it just in case (heh) it worked, so I'll be posting a tutorial thread in the near future. I'll edit the link into this post when that thread goes up.

Sorry for the thread necromancy dudes – I hope it's at least somewhat justified in this situation.
