It seems like a chintzy guitar, but as I have heard the game is the worst thing ever I imagine they're going to end up really cheap, really fast. It would be fun to have a cheap guitar like that to try installing some sort of fuzz/distortion right inside the body. I think they're mostly hollow, which is good for mods, bad for sound!

So I've been looking at my friend's Pro Guitar and playing around with it hooked up to FL Studio. As a guitarist, I just can't get used to lowered tactile input of buttons opposed to strings.

I haven't looked at the PowerGIG though, that sounds pretty exciting.

This thing looks like entirely too much fun. I can't even imagine using famitracker with it.

Doesn't it seem like it would make arps really, really fun?

the PowerGIG guitar looks really funny too, I'd be interested to look inside and see what's driving it as it's a working electric guitar as well as a game controller.

If nothing else all of the music games brought us tons of midi-capable toys.
