Something  that might be of interest if your concerned about tracking on the web is a browser extension called Ghostery. It lets you control which known ad companies can run scripts in your browser. On this page as I type I see Facebook Connect, and Twitter badge. I don't allow either one. Also might want one called Cookie Whitelist that will block cookies unless you allow them for a domain.

Not like it makes any difference, they're logging everyone's activity remember? They'll know he's there anyway.

It's best to just not start using Facebook. Like me.

yup...Behind every fun feature the internet has to offer, is a room full of sweaty cubicle'd desk jockeys trying to find out what your into, so they can send their bots to destroy your bank account.

You can add http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php to your block-list, that'll prevent sites from loading that button. I'm actually with akira on this, but I've given up on that bit of privacy for convenience. Largely for the same reasons I still use search-engines. Or don't use Tor. Or have auto-complete on in my browser. etc etc

I think to be fair, they should add a post to friendster button too.

On the ground that it tracks browsing data even if it isn't clicked. It wasn't there before, I noticed it here recently. Why was it added?
