megabyte in manchester is where i always go, seeing as i am mancunian. there's a few other places, like night and day cafe hold daytime shit, satans always have promoters who are willing to set you up. tiger lounge and kyoto lounge do alot of 8bit shit, fab cafe usually have top indie acts you can get on a bill with. just searching really, go town one day and just ask about who plays what and if it pays

There's some events that take place time to time here, nothing of a regular event - yet. Though I can keep you updated if anything does appear or is upcoming in the near future.

Theres nothing in Cumbria, let alone a chipmusic scene.

Ha! I sense sarcasm. Yeah, I realised this as soon as I wrote that and pressed enter, it really wasn't that hard to find out who organises these events either with this internet malarky. I must say Ultrachip looks absolutely class.

How does one attempt to get on a 8 Bit Nights show or even Ultrachip?

Newcastle/Tyne area would be ideal if theres anything happening!

There's a regular chip event in Glasgow called 8 Bit Nights. Next one is scheduled for 31st March.

There's also Ultrachip, an annual two-day chip festival that happens in Edinburgh in August.

There's a few of us around Tyneside!

And there's a bit of a scene in Middlesborough too
