breakphase says:
Here's the designated thread or whatever: http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/6559/ … -app-v103/

Well it's really just based on the RSS feed in the music section. The cool thing about it is that it lets you grab as many items as you want - cm feed only keeps the last 500. So old things are falling off the end as new stuff is added. It's a "catcher." I can add a setting for how many you want to keep at one time.. But yeah it's an RSS thing.

I may be willing to open source it in the future, so others can add things.

kontrat says:
The app is brilliant but the whole music feed ends/stops on 20 Oct 2013. I cannot listen to music older than that. Could you please fix it? I'd really like to check out all the music from chipmusic.org.

breakphase says:
Yah this app rocks. I'm hoping that there will be a mobile version of this site before I can start such a project. As everyone else I'm limited only by time. But that's a huge constraint.

The homepage for Cm Feed is http://jnapps.wordpress.com/cm-feed/.

Jansaw says:
This app is very cool and useful for music purposes. I love that you can favourite the songs and have a playlist made up.
Are you planning on adding forum capabilities? For an app that kind of encompasses the website for cellular use.

That would be killer! All of that stuff would be great, because I was going to have to scrape the html, which is not ideal. I was also thinking of syncing Favorites with bookmarks, maybe. So yeah awesome.

trash80 wrote:

If the app is free, I have no problem using our icon and bandwidth.

Yeah that's true it may increase bandwidth use. I figured it's going to be people who would use the site anyway. But yeah thanks man!

trash80 wrote:

one of those things I want to get to, is redoing our css, and adding mobile css support in the process.

That's probably for the best.
