Mr. Khil suffered a stroke in April and was in a coma for quite a time. It was known that he would have suffered from severe brain damage had he come out of his coma, but he did not and passed away earlier today (June 4th). Eduard Khil, we can only hope that you at least remembered in your last moments the words of the song that so defined you: (song title in english) "I am Glad, Because I am Finally Returning Home."
