Brain first said 'black' because of Goths and Metal and Rap

Then thought 'red' because it gets associated with love so much and so many songs are about love

but now, my final answer / guess

'blue'

because it has a genre named after it that's something like 100 years old, and most of the songs or song titles have the word blue in them.
