The OPL3 emulation though is still fairly imperfect. Certain sounds cannot be achieved without the real hardware. ok so i restored my os tonight ( coincidentally, not cause of this) and i have keyboard support now. still getting the same mouse driver message though. in the tutorials i started to watch i never saw them use a mouse i thought. im gonna do some more research though( seriously know nothing about using this currently)

edit: nvrmind were good. just installed some ms dos mouse drivers i apparently needed.

No, this is stand-alone software to be used in either old PC computers running DOS, it's not a VSTi. The MIDI capabilities come as you plug a MIDI interface onto your old DOS computer.
