If you're just starting out tracking and the 4-channel limitation on LSDj is too limiting, you might just wanna start with another chip-oriented tracker. Honestly, LSDj is a pretty intimidating and feature-intensive piece of software to jump right into for a lot of people, anyways. As others have already said, FamiTracker's a great place to start and want authentic chip sounds, as it's an NES-based tracker. Personally, I learned on FastTracker II, and it was a great jumping-off point. If it's good enough for Radix, it's good enough for anyone!
I've always been curious about other people's setup as far as two Gameboys goes, what do you do with the additional Gameboy?
Percussion sounds on wave channel on one, everything else on the other.
Recently did a dual lsdj song and the layout was as follows:
-gb1 pu1: lead
-gb1 pu2: lead octave lower or harmony with complementing wave table
-gb1 wav: sampled piano chords
-gb1 noi: hihat/ohat noise
-gb2 pu1: bass
-gb2 pu2: arps/whatever accompany
-gb2 wav: kit percussion
-gb2 noi: crash and snare noise (great for long decay snare)
Give me 1 channel or give me death.
I challenge you to write an entire song using nothing but the noise channel.
Give screamforme99 death straight up. Dudes a right cunt for someone who has only been here a few months.
BUT DON'T YOU SEE? If it worked for 8bc, it'll work for CM. Being an asshole is what makes this scene work!

Haha, nice!
I've written both a cover of Reformat the Planet, composed a baroque piece and covered like 10 Beck songs using 1xLSDJ just to see if I could.
You can always push the chip harder.

I've often wondered what a noise channel song would sound like. Nice.

can't tell if this is a joke or not
