HI Everyone,

I think it's fair to say that Bandcamp.com is probably one of the most awesome internet  tools for musicians/artst ever created.

I just have one small gripe: When you have their embedded player on your website, the free tracks don't show as being "free" with text like they do on a band's yourbandnamehere.bandcamp.com page. Having the free download text on your embedded player helps fans enjoy the free sample tunes off the grid and allows for others to discover your artistry in a friends car, at a party, on a plane, or in Timbaland's studio.

I sent them an email requesting that the "free" tracks show up on the embedded players the same way they do on the bandcamp main retail site. They replied "We don't display the 'free' label next to free tracks in the embedded player at the moment, no. We may give some thought to this down the line"

If you would like this feature for your own band's embedded player please email them a request too. This would benefit everyone who uses bandcamp.com.

Feel free to drop them a line here: [email protected]

Thank you in advance!

Seth smile

have you tried it? i've gone on a couple sites to check, clicking buy  just redirects to the bandcamp page.

Yeah, It takes you to the purchasing site. It would be great if all the commerce & downloading happened on your site too.
