Hello there, i'm an indie game developer and now i'm looking for a great musician for a great project: a music game.
A game in which every action of the player is a note that fits perfectly the music, creating a unique atmosphere that only this kind of games has.

For more details (including the payment), drop me a mail wink

I'm interested...can you use music that I've already written?

I assume you're looking for modular music that can change dynamically with the game.

I'll email you later tonight

It's a little bit different from this, in a nutshell the music (the "main melody") doesn't change with the game, but it is composed by the game.
It's complex to explain in brief, it's different from all music games available.

Difficult though it may be to articulate, I get the feeling that a more concrete explanation will get you far more positive, constructive responses.  As it stands your idea is extremely vague and honestly sounds a little bit crazy, even though it probably isn't. Assuming I even understand it correctly.

He's talking about generative music

But generative music based on how you interact with a game. I'd assume he's looking more for a personal sound library made custom for the game.

My but that's annoying

I can imagine how it could work in a very simple, hardly generative way that wouldn't require the musician to make "sound libraries" or whatever - unless you count stems as a library. I dunno if it'll work the way I'm imagining it, though!

Awaiting a reply! smile

Thanks for your interest guys, i will reply to all emails as soon as possibile.

Regarding the game, differently from Otocky the player can't "create" the notes, because they are imposed by the gameplay.

However, In this game the player can also use his creativity to create new sounds, and this feature make it very different from other music games.

The big question is:

How much of this game is actually programmed and are you getting ahead of yourself here...?

If i'm willing to pay a musician certainly the game isn't only in my mind wink
There is a prototype right now, my team has developed a good number of games before starting this project and i think we have the needed experience to affirm that it has a great potential.
