I wasn't including "/Users/myname/". I was just putting the mml file, drop tools, and dmc samples all in the same folder and typing:
@DPCM={"kick.dmc",15}
didn't know it made a difference to put the long, exact address. Thanks for the tip will try it later.

Ah yeah that wont work im affraid, quirk of the tools im afraid.
Wow, so that's for sure the issue. I'm glad to know. Still need to actually try it, but glad to know it will in fact work.
Well if you just put "kick.dmc" it will look for that file in a specific folder. In windows, this is the same folder in which ppmckc_e.exe resides.

That's what I thought. I'm pretty sure that's how it works on any operating system. I was confused when it didn't work.
