I have a gameboy colour getting started with LSDJ never done anything in my life with a gb other than play games,so i  need some help on this.I will go for a korg nanokey2( http://little-scale.blogspot.com/2011/0 … or-16.html )
or akai ldp8 ( http://images.amazon.com/images/G/01/mu … e-900.jpg)

How will i be able to sync that to my gbc.I created a cable (  http://www.flickr.com/photos/49268464@N04/8315393517/  )  will this work.

Any tips would be good.

Well... no.

But first, what are your plans with pads?
You could add a midi keyboard to lsdj. But you'll need an arduinoboy, or a USB/midi device by the nanoloop guy.

Plugging USB midi equipment straight into a gameboy will not work. The gameboy doesn't do USB...

Do a search on arduinoboy here on the forum to get you started.

What type of cable is that?  You seem to have spliced a usb onto a link cable.

well it's not just usb it's similar what i believe to slicing up the  multiplayer cable and combining it to with a computer keyboard cable straight. Here i just added a female usb jack.

this doesn't use midi output but a micro usb which you can see on this pic.

I don't want to sound mean, but that picture made me laugh.
You can't just splice two cables together and expect things to magically work.

This is what you want:

edit: reminds me of this lol

And is there any other way to do so.

Can i just get(  http://www.djtransformer.com/shop/produ … product=37  )  a usb to midi adapter and any midi keyboard then.I am working on a colour.

http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt … p;dur=2545   use that  and

steer clear of transformer. he has an appropriately bad rap. i'd suggest starting with other mods, to get you familiar with the process and concepts, and maybe find a music production method that fits with your experience. there are ways to sync LSDJ with DAWs like ableton, etc. but they aren't simple mods, and tend to require knowledge on the part of the modder, the acquisition of a miriad of parts, and lots of patience. I suggest starting out with a DMG and an EMS cart w/LSDJ loaded on it. If you aren't getting the results you want out of that, you're only going to complicate things by diving into a midi sync project.

So i'm kinda in a dilema.I will just get a ems card for a while and work with it.But what would you guys advise me do,go after a midi afterwards(which can be hefty and i don't even know which one yet)  or go through the hassle for smaller amount of money to be able to use the usb midi keyboards which will have no purpose later(if i become better)

If you can recommend me a good midi keyboard(not usb) without piano keyes that would be awesome.I would mostly focus on effects i think.
