Is it a problem that has just recently happened or is it one that you've had for a while and got fed up with?
My GBC always makes wierd noises, especially with the D-pad.
i've been using lsdj on an emulator and it doesnt make the noise there nor does it make it on my psp
and no no pro sounds or other mods the only reason this just started happening is cause i just got my first smart card
havent tried other lsdj versions yet
What you need is a prosound mod, its just the background noise.

ah ok thanks ill look into that
thanks for the help everyone i think i got it sorted out now
How loud is the "EEEEEEEEE" noise? If it's really faint it's probably just the default noise that comes out of a game boy. (So look into prosound)
If it's loud, it's probably somethin more sinister.
Have you tried it with any normal Gameboy game carts?
Edit: I was just curious, but it's over now, I guess.

pretty sure this is normal with LSDJ and unmodded gamedudes
My GBC whines all the time, it makes all sorts of fuzzy noises. I'd recommend prosound if it really bothers you, but I find that its not really an issue while I'm actually playing a song. I wrote Ground Zero entirely on a GBC without any trouble.
