I can't hear the difference between on and off on this recording, because of all the background noise. Record through the headphone jack. Or just listen to the headphone jack and see if it's still really loud and buzzy?
Edit: headphones on, i thought you turned it on part way through the recording. It doesn't sound good, and doesn't really sound like a prosound issue either. Still want to know what it sounds like through the headphone jack.

wow that's it? I've heard that the hum is not usual and that its probably the capacitors that are at then end of their life...
if they were talking about the capacitors in the gameboy's built in amp it doesnt matter cause the prosound mod bypasses the built in amp on the gameboy
are you running off of battery or power supply? Cause plugging it into an outlet adds a bunch of hum.
