looking to see what the options are. old and new hardware or software... what do ya got?
I like messing with glitchNES, fun little cartridge
well, theres a shitload...
for pc: neuromixer, cthuga, arkaos are all good places to start
for handhelds: sqj, pikix, super pikix, pikilpitia advance
and of course the whole no carrier suite for NES
probably easier to help sort it out if you hit me up directly through facebook or email, narrow down what youd want to do and what works best for it
Pikilipita for the GBA is also OK.
Squarejockey for the GBA is OK.
Glitchness is just awesome because of the glitching ofcourse.
There is LSVJ but all the sites seems to be down...ill try to find it somewhere else...
EDIT: Oh I forgot to say there is a glitchnes like roms for the Master System too !

Haven't tried it yet but here's a Rasp Pi emulator that runs on Windows and should let you use Super Pikix Pi on your laptop: http://sourceforge.net/projects/rpiqemuwindows/
Pure Data (with GEM library, comes with pd-extended) - used by Paris Treantafeles for example.
You have a caanoo, so you can use the http://www.pikilipita.com/superpikix/ but is extremly buggy! (but still awesome)
For nes or nes emulators on caanoo or psp you can always use the VJ soft from noCarrier http://www.no-carrier.com/
As some ppl mention you can use LSVJ, is a nice and easy one for GBC (or emulators)
Hardware, GameboyCamera, Atari Music Video, CompuMate (atari2600)
If you use PC/MAC, you can always get Resolume or any other open vjing soft
There are also apps for Android and iOS, in case you want to get portable and have the cables
Or oldschool, just grab one of this
use transparent bag with colored liquids and you will have a retro party
Made a webpage that generates a text scrolling Atari 2600 ROM. Just enter the Text and press "Create ROM"
Is there a random list around with all the apps for Android you can use?

Used by Paris, Hellocatfood and me now XD
Anywhere you look most of the programs are going to use video clips or something like that. using a webcam and some basic code you can get a cam set up on yourself or your gear to do some cool effects and not need clips.

Pocket VJ is a fun app and the same maker has a video looping tool. Theres also touch OSC to use midi mapping to a device.
ANDROID VJing? I have Rikomagic MK802. USB PC ARM that runs on Android. You can easy put it in your jeans pocket. Together with MIXXX on my netbook it will be ideal DJ/VJ setup.
So is there any cool VJ app? I dont want try toons unprofessional... Can you recommend me best?
