Hi everyone
As the mssiah forum seems to have bitten the dust I thought I would post my question/issue here....
I am using a C64C and was trying to run a SID2SID board inside. However because I am using 1x original 8580 chip and 1x SwinSID (the latter being quite tall in height) the space underneath the keyboard was never going to be enough to fit the board/chips in.
I added a kind of extension cable to the sid2sid board so that an extra socket on a trailing cable plugged into the C64 motherboard and the actual sid2sid could then sit anywhere within the case. However, when I use this 2 things happen, the first is that no sids work and the second is the issue of a massive amount of extra noise added to the audio outputs of the c64.
Any ideas why this may be? Could it be the length/type of cable I used for the 'extension'? I used a cut up IDE cable....
Thanks.
