Hey,

I am simply looking to play a midi keyboard through LSDJ, so that I've basically an extra synthesizer for performance in which I can play legitimate gameboy sounds.
I did install a PS/2 input for doing just this on my DMG, but the using computer keyboard kind of sucks.

What is my best course of action?  I don't need to use it for sequencing, just playing the notes live. I imagine it needs to be midi...
Any pointers in the right direction would be infinitely appreciated!

Buy one of these and get a cheap usb midi keyboard:

Although for the price you might just consider a cheapo casio keyboard with a good squarewave sound and just play a melody with that.

http://www.nanoloop.com/midi/ works great with mGB and is very cheap! the only issue is that only works via software, here is a video example I made using nanoloopusbadapter conected to FL Studio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le3UOgBRq_Q

Maniac frequency. Thats perfect.  Only thing is, it HAS to run through the PC software right?  Can't possibly do without??

Yeah if you are going the keyboard route skip LSDJ and go straight to mGB. It's really responsive and fuckin' boss.

Awesome, thanks everyone, I've learned so much.
Just wish I didn't have to bring a computer to a live performance to do this! (I'm not good enough to make an arduino boy hmm )
