So I've just made my first song on LSDJ, I've got audacity and a twin jack cable to connect the gameboy to the computer. So I've opened audacity, turned on my gameboy, pressed play, hit record and nothing's happening. I have no idea how to connect the two, could anyone help? Thanks.

you have the cable plugged into the headphone jack of the gameboy, and the microphone jack of your computer?

in audacity near the top center of the screen there is a little microphone graphic with a drop-down menu with which you can select your input. try using each of the individual input options until you get sound : )

Yeah. And I've clicked on the microphone to the right, there is no input option

Because there's only one option in that and it's built-in input. It gives me no other option.

Try checking your Audio Device settings in Control Panel.

Ah well that is useful information. is there like... a macbook equivalent to those things? Do you have any other options under the Devices section of your Audacity Preference settings?
