Coucou Micromusic Netlabel was born out of sheer passion in February 2009. One of the main reasons this netlabel exists is the precious support and trust it received in the past from a particular French project. The same project is giving us again today a black pearl in the Micromusic scenario: we’re talking about the Chrono Triggers.
This work truly brings us back to our Chipelectro roots, a genre in which every sound is made by little infernal machines stuffed to the brim with chips, leds and all kinds of cables; that sound now lives together with the unmistakable voice and melody lines of Silnaye, the chip-girl who in May 2009 joined the Coucou family on stage – Chrono Triggers included – in one of its first gigs at the “Alpheus”, a historical Roman club.
The Spanish producer and singer Silnaye has recently moved to Berlin, where she keeps composing, recording and playing her tunes live at various microparties and European festivals. If you haven’t heard her before, you won’t easily forget her poignant vocal timbre.
Thus we’re before a perfect match for our ears, the Chrono Triggers‘s sounds and Silnaye‘s moods, which breaths life into six danceable tracks; a well-finished job, both in sounds and harmony; club music with the energy and psychedelic Micromusic and crazy lyrics which blend real life with desires and abstract thinking.
