I have been having this issue, when i put new batteries in my DMG it wont turn on, but if i put the old ones in it turns on.
I know it isn't because of the new batteries, because ive used at least 8 different ones.
Please help me. :3

Would you know if it was in the back or front pcb?
Sounds more to me like you have corrosion on the battery terminals, any type of AA battery will work with a Game Boy assuming that they are holding a charge and making proper contact with the terminals.
Turn on your gameboy then stick your new batteries in and rotate them over and over and over until it turns on.
Have you tried a power adaptor? or ordering new battery contacts from kitch-bent? They're on sale!

Well, i was using two Alkaline batteries and two Duracell batteries.
Is that bad?
