Future of chipmusic is Multi-project wafer MPW aka Multi-project chip MPC. You will be able buy your own ASIC chips from such companies in very near future. They will be very cheap. For example there will be your own PSG plus my own FM and someone else DAC and company will make one ASIC and I will use only FM you PSG etc etc... But you also can use everything. But you will dont know what else is inside the chip... You will get just your numbers for your PSG and I for my own FM etc etc etc...
