Lets call this kTAPE (cassette tape) and kCD (audioCD or audioDVD) and kSD (SDcard), kRADIO (webratio) etc etc...

So few labels will distribute music in such format.

PS:Use DosBOX on WIN8 or MAC,LINUX...

Here will be lists of musicians/netlabels who supports kDATA format.

It works! So let make data tapes with modules for PCs... Like was on C64...

I've done a few cassette releases that include secret bonus files on them. So far, I only know of one person who has ever discovered one of these secrets. tongue

Why such format? Why we are still using CDs,Vinyls or cassettes?
Why we are still using 8bits? 16bits?
Such tape loading is simply great...
It belongs to 8bits!

What difference does the encoding do in that case? Both "audio" and data CDs store digitally encoded data.

I remember that I had old audio cd with my old mods from 90s and I had such fungus on it. Some tracks was not working some was with high noise... It was one of first CD-R... Probably new are better. (Some manufacturers quaranty up to 50years)

This "high noise" was not line noise anywhere in the CD signal path. If you mean loud crackles and breakups in the signal, those are because data is missing. SInce small irrecoverable chunks of data are not vital to the continuation of the decoding process and audio playback, an audio CD player will accept them and simply continue playing. This does not mean that a substantial part of the data wasn't lost, and a CD with audio encoded data would suffer the same consequences as a plain data CD.

What you could do, though, is to encode a lot of redundant information for the sake of easy reconstruction of lost data. In this case, audio/data CD makes no difference.
