I know GT can use the hardsid solution for SID chips. Anyone know if its possible to use the midibox sid with goat trackeR?
does goattracker support vst ?
Haha, no. Goattracker is a tracker for making C64 music on the PC/Mac.
According to this, you should be able to.

thats what i thought.
This is madness! Fucking awesome!
I guess it's time to make the midibox already
That is not very good, you need a bulky computer to go along with your music computer.
The midibox SID is really small. And a lot more functional (I can make music with it via MIDI).
I also think of the possibilities. If someone hacked the hardsid.dll to communicate with a midibox, it wouldn't be too far of to think there's a possibility to create a VST interface for it. If that protocol talks directly to the hardware, it'd be really easy.

speaking of Midibox SID - the one I bought from Florida years ago has just been exhumed - has 8 x 6582 chips (exactly the same as 8580 just rebranded) and I am currently investigating how to slave it (as opposed to just playing ASID songs).
i use my MBSID almost everyday, it is a great device. making patches is a pain but it's nice to integrate it with other devices (MIDINES, mGB)
i've always wanted to try it with goattracker, so let us know how it goes!
